Prime Visa sign-up bonus: Get a $200 Amazon gift card instantly

June 27, 2025: Amazon is now offering an increased bonus on the Amazon Prime Visa in preparation for its upcoming Prime Day promotion.

Our take: What we think of the welcome bonus

If you subscribe to Amazon Prime, getting this card is an easy call. This card is the best card to use at Amazon.com for most purchases. It earns 5% rewards on your purchases and the inclusion of both extended warranty protection and purchase protection means that you don’t have to worry about giving up rewards for essential benefits—you get both.

And with the current increased offer, now is a great time to get the card if you don’t already have it. A $200 Amazon gift card is the largest bonus we’ve seen offered on this card.

Even if you’re a small business Prime member, I’d recommend getting this card for your Amazon.com purchases over the Business Prime Amex since the rewards are much easier to redeem and there’s no annual cap.

A few things to know before applying:

  • You’ll need a Prime subscription to apply. If you click through to the application page and don’t have Amazon Prime, you’ll see an application for the Amazon Visa, which only earns 3%. You’ll need to sign into your Amazon account to apply.
  • Your card will be converted if you stop paying for Prime. If you stop paying for Amazon Prime, your account will be downgraded to the Amazon Visa, which only earns 3% cash back on Amazon purchases.
