Freedom Unlimited® bonus offer: Earn $200 bonus cash back

June 30, 2025: Chase has discontinued the $250 offer on the Chase Freedom Unlimited® and the online offer is back down to the standard $200 after $500 offer. But as of a few days ago, we confirmed a better in-branch offer, so be sure to scroll down to read about that before applying through our link!

My take: $200 after $500 is a great low-effort bonus.

Without a doubt, earning $200 after you spend $500 in three months is a great bonus. This bonus makes our list of the best easy cash back welcome bonuses and (since the card is marketed as cash back, but earns Ultimate Rewards, the card also has one of the best Ultimate Rewards® bonuses.

But before you apply for this card through our links or other links you’ll find online, you might want to check out the in-branch offers available on this card. Chase often will give you an even better offer if you apply for this card in-branch.

Alone, the Freedom Unlimited® is a good card for ongoing spending but it’s pairing the card with other cards in the Chase Ultimate Rewards® ecosystem that makes the card a great card. That’s because, Chase Ultimate Rewards points (the points your Freedom Unlimited earns behind the scenes) can be moved between your Chase cards.

When you move your points a premium Ultimate Rewards card, like the Chase Sapphire Preferred, Chase Sapphire Reserve, or Chase Ink Business Preferred, you can then use them for premium travel redemptions like travel through Chase Travel at 25%-50% more value or for transfers to airline and hotel programs—which are the path toward high-value premium travel redemptions.

Other offers that might be available

We want you to get the best offer, so here are some of the other offers that might be available on this card.

  • In-branch offers: Chase frequently runs in-branch exclusive bonus offers on this card. When we visited a branch on 6/28/25, we confirmed an in-branch offer featuring 5% rewards on up to $12,000 of combined gas and grocery purchases in your first year.
  • Referral offers: Historically, when Chase has had increased limited-time bonuses on this card, those stuck around for a few days through referral links after they were pulled publicly. Keep this in mind if you just missed a larger bonus on this card in the future.
