Best credit cards for office supply stores in 2026

If you spend a significant amount of money at office supply stores, you can easily get 5% cash back on your purchases with a no-annual-fee card. Plus there are a small number of other cards that offer statement credits and other perks for spending at office supply stores.

My take: Ink Cash really is the only card for office supplies

There really only is one winner when it comes to earning rewards on office supplies. The Chase Ink Cash. Unless I’m earning a statement credit on my Amex Business Gold Card, the Ink Cash is the only card I ever use at places like Staples and Office Depot and if you ever purchase office supplies for your business, getting this no-annual-fee card is a no-brainer.

I especially like the fact that, since Office Depot sells gift cards, I can use gift card purchases to “expand” the Ink Cash 5% category to other stores. Purchase a Starbucks gift card at Office Depot… now you’re effectively getting 5% cash back on your Starbucks purchases. And the office supply stores sell a lot of gift cards… think airlines, restaurants, gaming, department stores, streaming services… and if you don’t find a gift card for your specific brand, you can do the same thing with a Visa or Mastercard gift card.

Other cards that might be interesting for office supply store purchases

In most cases, one of our top picks will be a better choice for you, but here are a few cards that might be interesting for office supply store purchases if you’re pursuing a more niche credit card reward strategy.
