Consumer insurance benefits
Many cards offer consumer insurance benefits that can protect the things you buy. Here are the consumer insurance benefits offered by the American Express® Business Gold Card. Terms and restrictions apply to all benefits.
Purchase protection protects the things you buy with your card from damage or theft for a certain amount of time after you buy them. Amex purchase protection covers your new purchases for 90 days against damage or theft up to $1,00 per purchase and $50,000 per card member.
Extended warranty provides additional warranty coverage on items you purchase with your card. Amex extended warranty protection doubles the time period of the U.S. manufacturer’s warranty up to an additional year, on eligible warranties of five years or less.
Cell phone protection can cover the cost of repairing or replacing your phone if it is damaged or stolen when you pay your monthly cell phone bill with your card. Chase will cover up to two claims within 12 months, up to $800 per claim, and $1,000 per year, subject to a $50 deductible per claim.
Travel insurance benefits
Cards targeted toward travelers often offer travel insurance benefits that can protect you when you are traveling away from home. Terms and restrictions apply to all benefits.
Trip delay insurance can cover your incidental expenses or a hotel room when your travel you book with your card is delayed for a covered reason. American Express® Business Gold Card trip delay insurance covers delays of 12 hours or more and up to $300 per covered trip. You are limited to two claims per eligible card, per 12 month period.
Amex baggage insurance plan covers lost, damaged, or stolen baggage when you book your travel with your card. Baggage insurance on the American Express® Business Gold Card covers up to $1,250 for carry-on baggage and up to $500 for checked baggage.
Car rental loss & damage insurance protects you against damage to or theft of your rental vehicle. For coverage to apply, you need to reserve and pay for your vehicle using your card and decline your car rental company’s collision damage waiver. The coverage provided by your American Express® Business Gold Card is secondary to your personal auto insurance.
Statement credits and partner offers
The American Express® Business Gold Card also features a number of statement credits and partner offers. Here’s what you need to know.
$240 Flexible Business Credit. Earn up to $20 in statement credits monthly after you use your card for eligible U.S. purchases at FedEx, Grubhub, and Office Supply Stores.
$155 Walmart+ Membership Credit. Received a monthly credit equal to $12.95, plus applicable taxes, when you pay for your monthly Walmart+ membership with your card.
$100 experience credit at The Hotel Collection. Get a $100 experience credit to use during your stay when you book a minimum two-night stay at The Hotel Collection hotels through American Express Travel.
