My take: I don’t think a lot about rewards at Walgreens, but the choice is pretty simple

My go-to card for purchases at Walgreens is the Chase Freedom Flex. Yes, the Chase Freedom Unlimited earns the same rewards and is probably the better overall choice for most people, which is why I put it higher up on the list, I don’t actually have that card.

But I learned something while updating this article: The AAA Daily Advantage Visa Signature card’s 3% rewards at pharmacies are uncapped and don’t count against that card’s cap on rewards in its other bonus categories. That won’t change my use—I’d still generally prefer Chase points since I can transfer them to airline and hotel partners—but it means that the Daily Advantage card is even more valuable than I previously thought.
