Ink Business Premier® Credit Card welcome offer: $1,000 cash back

The Ink Business Premier® Credit Card has an absolutely massive welcome offer for new small business cardmembers. This is the standard welcome offer on this card.

My take: Large welcome bonus on a great general spending card for small business

The bonus on the Ink Business Premier® Credit Card is one of the largest cash back welcome offers available on any credit card and the card can be an excellent choice for your small business.

Getting 2% cash back everywhere on a small business card is rare, and most small business cards offering 2% cash back charge some sort of annual fee. While the annual fee on the Ink Premier is higher than some other cards, you can easily make that back in rewards if your business spending patterns are a good match for this card.

If you frequently make purchases of $5,000 or more for your business, this card should be on your radar. The math works out such that you’ll earn more in marginal cash back if you make $40,000 worth of purchases than you’ll pay in the card’s annual fee.

With respect to the bonus restrictions, I’m sad to see them, but I do think that the restrictions are largely fair. It doesn’t make sense for Chase to give out the sign up bonus to cardmembers who repeatedly open and close the same card. And I’ll give credit for not doing what they did with the no-annual fee Chase Ink Cash and Chase Ink Unlimited bonuses—this card’s bonus restrictions only mention the same card, whereas those cards’ bonus restrictions include all of Chase’s no-annual-fee business credit cards. However, I do think that restricting a bonus to once every 4 years, as Citi does with many of its cards is a better approach.

Are you eligible to earn the sign-up bonus?

Chase recently added restrictions to its sign-up bonus eligibility across its business card lineup. The short version is that you may not be eligible for a bonus on this card if you’ve ever had the Ink Business Premier® Credit Card before.

Here’s the text of the terms:

The new cardmember bonus may not be available to you if you have ever had this card. We may also consider factors pertinent to your business in determining your bonus eligibility.

Other offers that might be available

We want you to get the best offer, so here are some of the other offers that might be available on this card.

In-branch offers: We don’t know of any current in-branch offers. When we visited a branch on 6/28/25, we confirmed that there were no in-branch offers available on this card.

A few things to know before applying:

  • Chase Ink cards don’t impact 5/24. Historically, Chase wouldn’t approve you for a new card if you had 5 or more new accounts on your personal credit report within the last 24 months. Chase Ink cards don’t report to your personal credit report (as long as you pay on time) and therefore won’t impact your 5/24 status.
  • Chase Ink cards (kind of) are subject to 5/24 restrictions. While opening a Chase Ink card won’t count against your 5/24 status, Chase is unlikely to approve you if you have 5 or more cards opened and reporting to your personal credit report within the last 24 moths. However, this rule appears to be a bit more flexible for Ink cards than Chase’s other cards, according to some reports on Reddit and elsewhere.
  • You likely can get a small business card. You probably have a business and are eligible to get a small business credit card. Even small businesses like selling things on eBay or hobbies you are trying to monetize count.
