Amex Disney streaming credit: Easy statement credit for streaming services

August 4, 2025: American Express has increased the amounts of and adjusted the marketing of its Disney Streaming Credit. This credit was previously marketed as the “Disney Bundle credit.”

With the Blue Cash Preferred® Card from American Express, you can now get $10 back monthly, while with the Blue Cash Everyday® Card from American Express, you can get $7 back monthly.

What is the Amex Disney streaming credit?

The Amex Disney Streaming credit is a statement credit on certain Amex cards that you can earn when charging an eligible, monthly, U.S. streaming subscription from DisneyPlus.com, Hulu.com, or plus.espn.com to your card. Depending on your card, this monthly credit is either $7 or $10 per month.

Which services trigger the Disney Plus credit?

Any streaming subscription or bundle subscription on DisneyPlus.com, Hulu.com, or plus.espn.com in the U.S. should trigger this credit. Although this credit is marketed as a Disney credit, it is much more versatile, since you can subscribe to several different services (all owned by Disney) from the eligible websites:

  • DisneyPlus.com offers a number of bundles, including various combinations of Disney+, Hulu, ESPN, and HBO Max. The site also offers a standalone Disney+ subscription.
  • Hulu.com offers add-on plans for HBO Max, Cinemax, Paramount+ with SHOWTIME, and STARZ. Plus you can get live TV add-ons for channels in Spanish, entertainment channels, sports channels.
  • Plus.espn.com will sell you a standalone ESPN subscription, plus various bundles including Hulu, and Disney+.

How to Maximize the Disney Plus credit

Getting the most out of your Amex Disney credit is as simple as charging an eligible monthly subscription to the card. But before you sign up for a monthly Disney+ plan, here are a few things to consider:

Be aware that an annual subscription might be a better deal. Disney offers a discount for annual subscriptions to many of its services. If you can save more than $84 (with the Everyday card) or $120 (with the Preferred card) over the course of a year by going with an annual plan, it’s a better deal to pay for an annual plan outright and forego the Disney credits.

Keep in mind that many phone plans and other services offer discounted Disney+ service. In some cases, you can get a lot of these streaming services for substantially cheaper when bundled with your phone or cable plan.

How it works: Using a credit card that offers a statement credit for Disney+

Once you have either the Blue Cash Everyday® Card from American Express or Blue Cash Preferred® Card from American Express, you’ll need to enroll your card in the Disney+ credit benefit and start charging your monthly U.S. Disney Bundle subscription to your card.

Enrolling in your Amex benefits is a quick process that can be done through either the mobile app or the Amex website. We have a step-by-step guide on enrolling in your Amex benefits. Be sure to enroll. You won’t get your monthly statement credits if you don’t enroll.

That’s all there is to it. If you’re enrolled, here’s what you’ll see within a few days of your eligible charge for The Disney Bundle, Hulu, or ESPN+ hitting your card:

How to enroll in an Amex benefit from AmericanExpress.com

You can enroll in benefits through the Amex account management portal at AmericanExpress.com. Here’s how to enroll through the website, step-by-step. Screenshots are from the desktop version of the website, but the mobile website works similarly.

First, log into your account at https://www.americanexpress.com/ using the username and password you use to manage your account. If you haven’t created an Amex online account, you’ll need to do that before enrolling in your benefit. You can create an Amex online account from a link found after you click “Log In” at the top of the page.

Next, you’ll select the card that has the benefit you want to enroll in from the panel in the upper right corner of the page. Clicking the card icon will show you all of the cards that are available in the Amex portal. Select the card with the benefit you want to enroll in from this list.

Next, use the menu at the top of the page to click on “Rewards & Benefits” and then choose “Benefits” from the secondary menu on the Rewards & Benefits page.

On this page, you may see a panel showing your progress toward earned benefits with some cards, but if you scroll down, you’ll see a section called “All Benefits.” Within the All Benefits section, you’ll find a number of tiles corresponding to available benefits on your card. Find the tile of the benefit you need to enroll in.

The benefit tile should show “Enrollment Required” and a button that says “Enroll Now.” Click “Enroll Now.” An example of a benefit tile offering enrollment is shown to the right.

On the next page, you’ll likely be giving the change to review terms and conditions of benefit. Some benefits may require you to provide additional information. Proceed through the screens you see until you get a confirmation of your enrollment. In most cases, you’ll also get email confirmation of your enrollment.

If you’re unsure of whether you’ve enrolled in a benefit, you can look under the Rewards and Benefits section of the Amex website or call the customer service number on the back of your card.

How to enroll in an Amex benefit from the Amex mobile app

The Amex mobile app offers another (and in our view easier) way to enroll in your card’s benefits. Here’s how to enroll in your benefits from the mobile app.

Log into the Amex mobile app and select the card you want to enroll from the home screen. In the most current version of the app, you can swipe back and forth between cards to select your card. You can also select a card from the list by clicking the cards icon at the upper-left corner of the screen.

Next, click on the “Membership” button at the bottom of the screen. Under the Membership screen, you can scroll down to the section titled “Benefits.” Click “View All” under the benefits section to go to the benefits page.

On the benefits page (pictured to the right), you’ll see a list of benefits. Benefits that require enrollment will display either “Enrolled” or “Enrollment Required.” If you click on “Enrollment Required” you’ll get a chance to review benefit terms and conditions and enroll in the benefit. Once you successfully enroll in a benefit, you’ll see a confirmation in the app. Most of the time, you’ll also receive an email from Amex confirming your enrollment.

If you’re unsure of whether you’ve enrolled in a benefit, you can look for the “Enrolled” badge on a benefit in the mobile app or call the customer service number on the back of your card.
